Pressure-controlled ventilation-volume guaranteed (PCV-VG) significantly reduced airway pressure during one-lung ventilation (OLV) compared to volume-controlled ventilation (VCV). While PCV-VG did not improve arterial oxygenation, it offered safer ventilation for thoracic surgery patients.
