Summary

Model-based iterative reconstruction (MBIR) significantly improves pulmonary embolism (PE) detection and diagnostic confidence in computed tomography pulmonary angiography. This advanced technique offers better image quality compared to filtered back projection (FBP) and hybrid iterative reconstruction (HIR).
