Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the impact of induced mental fatigue on maximal anaerobic performance.
  • To examine changes in physiological and perceptual variables following mental fatigue.

Main Methods:

  • A randomized crossover study involving 12 participants.
  • Mental fatigue induced via a 90-minute Continuous Performance Task (CPT).
  • Performance assessed through countermovement jump, isometric leg extension, and a 3-minute all-out cycling test.

  • No significant differences in performance or physiological variables were observed between mental fatigue and control conditions.
