Summary

Local perforator flaps offer stable soft tissue defect coverage. A modified harvest technique, relocating the perforator, decreases traction and increases flap length for improved reconstruction.

Area of Science:

  • Plastic Surgery
  • Reconstructive Surgery

Background:

  • Local perforator flaps are crucial for soft tissue defect coverage.
  • Advancements allow free-style harvesting, increasing flap selection freedom.
