  • The Accessibility Plan (PA) led to an 86.5% increase in emergency radiographs in AP, reducing ED referrals by 7.4%.
  • Significant reductions in referrals to specialized services, including vascular surgery (13.6%) and dermatology (297 fewer referrals).
  • Overall, 23.9% of Level IV-V ED pathology was managed in AP, resulting in cost savings of €57,335.

Impact:

  • Demonstrated improved quality of care and user satisfaction through AP-based management of complex cases.
  • Achieved a notable decline in healthcare spending by optimizing resource utilization.
  • Successfully reduced patient frequency and recurrence rates by 1.4% and 2.3% respectively.
