Does bile protect or damage interstitial Cajal-like cells in the human gallbladder?

Gallbladder hypomotility is linked to gallstone formation. This study found fewer interstitial c-kit positive cells (ICLCs) in gallbladders with gallstones, suggesting bile composition influences ICLC density.
