Summary

Background:
- Solute carrier family 1 member 2 (SLC1A2) fusions have been identified in gastric cancer and a colon cancer cell line.
- The occurrence and specificity of SLC1A2 fusions in primary colorectal cancer (CRC) and other cancers remain largely unknown.
Purpose of the Study:
- To investigate the presence of CD44-SLC1A2 and APIP-SLC1A2 fusion transcripts in primary colorectal cancers (CRCs) and non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLCs).
- To characterize the clinicopathological features of CRC harboring SLC1A2 fusions.
