Context:

Anorexia nervosa case detected via routine occupational health surveillance in a bank teller.
Patient presented with a low body mass index (BMI) of 13.6 Kg/m2.

Purpose:

To describe the multidisciplinary management of anorexia nervosa in an occupational setting.
To emphasize the role of workplace health surveillance in early detection.

Summary:

The bank teller received comprehensive evaluation and monitoring from a general practitioner, psychiatrist, endocrinologist, psychologist, nurse, and occupational medicine specialist.
The individual achieved significant weight gain, reaching a BMI of 17 Kg/m2 within 1.5 years.

Impact:

Eating disorders, though non-occupationally related, have a significant prevalence (5% lifetime) and impact on social and work life (affecting >20% of cases).
This case underscores the importance of workplace health promotion, prevention, and surveillance programs for common pathologies like eating disorders.
