Background:

Parotid gland tumors are relatively uncommon, with a majority being benign.
Sialolipomas, a rare benign tumor composed of mature adipose and salivary gland tissue, can present as slow-growing masses.

Observation:

A 70-year-old male presented with a painless, gradually enlarging right parotid mass over 12 months.
Clinical examination revealed no systemic symptoms or facial nerve deficits.
Imaging suggested a benign parotid neoplasm.

Findings:

Histopathological examination of the resected superficial parotidectomy specimen confirmed a sialolipoma.
The tumor was characterized by mature adipose tissue interspersed with salivary gland elements.

Implications:

Sialolipoma is a rare benign entity that should be considered in the differential diagnosis of parotid gland masses.
Surgical excision is curative for symptomatic or growing sialolipomas.
Accurate diagnosis through histology is crucial for appropriate management of parotid gland tumors.
