[Neurocognitive insight in schizophrenia: a meta-analysis]

Schizophrenia patients report significant subjective cognitive complaints, but have poor insight into these neurocognitive deficits, with complaints correlating more with depressive symptoms than objective cognition. Awareness of problem-solving deficits may be higher, but insight into illness remains largely independent.
