CD74, a protein linked to major histocompatibility complex class II, is overexpressed in thyroid cancers and correlates with advanced stages. Targeting CD74 may offer a new therapeutic strategy for thyroid cancer treatment.

- In vitro experiments involved treating thyroid cancer cells with anti-CD74 antibody and recombinant MIF to assess effects on cell behavior and signaling pathways (AKT, AMPK).

- CD74 is overexpressed in thyroid cancers, particularly in advanced stages, and is associated with aggressive tumor characteristics.
- MIF expression is also prevalent in papillary thyroid cancer but lacks association with clinicopathological parameters.
- CD74 represents a potential therapeutic target for thyroid cancer, with anti-CD74 therapy demonstrating inhibitory effects on cancer cell proliferation and metastasis.
