A large proliferating trichilemmal cyst masquerading as squamous cell carcinoma

Proliferating trichilemmal cysts (PTC) are rare benign scalp tumors in elderly women. Complete surgical excision is recommended due to their potential for aggressive growth and malignant transformation.
