New lager yeast strains generated by interspecific hybridization

Summary

New lager yeast hybrids were created by crossing Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Saccharomyces eubayanus. These hybrids exhibit enhanced fermentation, cryotolerance, and maltotriose utilization, offering novel non-GM lager yeast strains.
