Summary

Focused ion beam (FIB) microscopes precisely prepare biological samples for electron cryo-microscopy. Cryo-FIB/SEM tomography enables high-resolution ultrastructural imaging and 3D volumetric data acquisition from frozen-hydrated specimens.
