Main Results:

  • Twelve known terpenoids were successfully isolated and identified.
  • The isolated compounds include two monoterpenoids, five sesquiterpenoids, and five triterpenoids.
  • These terpenoids represent the first reported chemical constituents from L. kangtingensis.

Conclusions:

  • All twelve identified compounds are reported for the first time from Ligularia kangtingensis.
  • This research expands the knowledge of the chemical diversity within the Ligularia genus.
  • The findings lay the groundwork for potential future pharmacological evaluations.
