Type-B lactic acidosis associated with progressive multiple myeloma

A rare case of aggressive multiple myeloma (MM) caused life-threatening lactic acidosis (LA) and organ failure. Early diagnosis and MM treatment are crucial for potentially improving outcomes in patients with this severe complication.

- Aggressive treatment of the underlying multiple myeloma may improve survival outcomes.
