Arboviral encephalitis refers to brain inflammation caused by arthropod-borne viruses, particularly those transmitted through mosquito vectors. Summary

Sandfly fever viruses cause mild to severe neurological illness. This study found phlebovirus infections in 8% of Greek patients with fever, with most cases occurring in summer.
