As such, clinicians should familiarize themselves with the available treatment options, paying particular attention to their various advantages and disadvantages. In order to offer patients optimal MS therapy, it is crucial for clinicians to stay current with the changing landscape of multiple sclerosis. This article provides a review of the available pharmacotherapeutic options for treating MS, discusses the impact of adherence to therapy, and describes the importance of managing comorbidities often experienced by patients with MS.
