Summary

Survival after judicial hanging is exceptionally rare. This case report details an individual who revived after being declared dead from judicial hanging, receiving intensive care and achieving full recovery.

Observation:

  • A case of an individual revived after modern judicial hanging, despite being declared deceased.
  • The patient presented with severe clinical impairment, indicated by a Glasgow Coma Scale score of 6/15.

Findings:

  • The individual received comprehensive intensive care following the judicial hanging.
  • Complete clinical recovery was achieved after the standard supportive treatment.

Implications:

  • This case challenges the assumption of irreversible death following judicial hanging.
