This case report details a rare, giant liver myofibroblastic sarcoma (MS) in a young woman, successfully treated with surgery. Multimodal imaging may aid in diagnosing this rare abdominal sarcoma when typical liver tumors are not suspected.

Area of Science:

  • Hepatobiliary Surgery
  • Oncology
  • Radiology

Background:

  • Myofibroblastic sarcoma (MS) is an uncommon tumor, rarely presenting in the abdominal cavity.
  • Giant liver masses often pose diagnostic challenges, with myofibroblastic sarcoma being an extremely rare consideration.
