Platelet mitochondrial dysfunction in critically ill patients: comparison between sepsis and cardiogenic shock

Platelet mitochondrial dysfunction occurs in both sepsis and cardiogenic shock. In sepsis, this impaired energy production is linked to reduced platelet function.
