Summary

Cutaneous tuberculosis can present unusually in chronic skin lesions. Early diagnosis and treatment led to complete resolution in a 61-year-old male patient.

Background:

Cutaneous tuberculosis (TB) is a rare manifestation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection.
It can mimic various chronic dermatological conditions, posing diagnostic challenges.

Observation:

A 61-year-old male presented with a long-standing perineal and scrotal lesion.
Initial investigations were inconclusive, delaying the diagnosis.

Findings:

Subsequent investigations confirmed the diagnosis of cutaneous tuberculosis.
The patient achieved complete resolution following appropriate anti-tuberculosis treatment.

Implications:

This case underscores the diverse clinical presentations of cutaneous TB.
