[Difficulties in neuroleptic treatment of schizophrenic patients]

Abstract:
During the treatment of schizophrenic patients with antipsychotic drugs the following difficulties must be considered: Lack of predictability of therapeutic outcome, extrapyramidal side effects, "pharmacogenic" depressions. The most important presupposition for a successful handling of these difficulties is an intensive psychopharmacological training of psychiatrists.
