- Statins offer a modest benefit in reducing the risk of non-fatal heart failure hospitalization.
- A composite outcome of non-fatal HF hospitalization or HF death was also reduced by statins.
- The risk reduction for HF hospitalization was consistent regardless of whether a myocardial infarction (MI) preceded the event.
