Thrombomodulin (TM) plays a role in corneal wound healing and is regulated by platelet-derived growth factor-BB (PDGF-BB). Recombinant TM epidermal growth factor-like domain plus serine/threonine-rich domain (rTMD23) accelerates corneal epithelial wound healing.
