Summary

Ultra-low frequency transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (ULF-TENS) may influence stress levels, as indicated by changes in salivary alpha-amylase (sAA). This pilot study suggests sAA is a useful non-invasive marker for autonomic nervous system activity.
