Some applications of the tensor fascia lata myocutaneous flap

Abstract:
Two cases of reconstruction using the Tensor Fascia (TFL) myocutaneous flap are presented. In the first case the T F L flap was used to resurface a complex soft tissue defect on the extensor surface of the left forearm. The T F L flap was used in the second case to resurface a left trochanteric bedsore in a patient recovering from paraparesis sustained from an attack of Transverse Myelitis. The flap was successfully used in both cases.
