Severe hyperkalaemia, a condition of high potassium levels, affects 0.11% of patients, predominantly those with chronic kidney disease (CKD) or acute kidney injury (AKI). Educational initiatives are needed as junior doctors show knowledge gaps regarding its causes and management.
