Host autophagy combating S. aureus: α-toxin will be tolerated

Cellular autophagy reduces host sensitivity to Staphylococcus aureus α-toxin by lowering expression of its receptor, ADAM10. This mechanism enhances host tolerance to the pathogen and its toxins.
