    • Burkitt's lymphoma (BL) is an aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) characterized by C-MYC proto-oncogene upregulation.
    • NHL constitutes about one-third of AIDS-related malignancies, with BL representing 2.4-20% of HIV-associated NHL.
    • While outcomes for HIV-associated NHL have improved with HAART, HIV-BL still shows poor prognosis with standard chemotherapy.
