    Unconscious aggression in multiple sclerosis patients is linked to reduced frontal lobe function and altered glucose metabolism in the brain. These changes, particularly in the limbic system, correlate with increased aggressive tendencies.

    Background:

    • Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a demyelinating disease affecting the central nervous system.
    • Altered brain metabolism and psychological changes, including aggression, are observed in MS patients.
    • Understanding the neurobiological underpinnings of aggression in MS is crucial for patient care.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the relationship between unconscious aggression and glucose metabolism in patients with multiple sclerosis.
    • To identify specific brain regions associated with aggressive tendencies in MS.

    Main Methods:

    • Positron Emission Tomography (PET) was used to assess glucose metabolism speed.
    • The Hand test was employed to measure indicators of unconscious aggression.
