Increased Mean Platelet Volume in Familial Hypercholesterolemia

Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) patients show increased mean platelet volume (MPV), a marker of platelet activation. This elevation in MPV is independently linked to higher total cholesterol levels in FH patients.
