Pyonephrosis due to Chryseobacterium gleum: a first case report.

This study reports the first case of AmpC-producing Chryseobacterium gleum causing pyonephrosis. The bacterium showed unique antimicrobial resistance, highlighting the need for susceptibility testing in Nonfermentative Gram-Negative Bacilli infections.

- The patient recovered successfully after treatment with tetracycline, without requiring DJ stent removal.
- Environmental surveillance did not identify a nosocomial source for the infection.
