    Background:

    • Ethylene glycol poisoning is a serious medical emergency.

    Observation:

    • A retrospective analysis of seven male patients with ethylene glycol poisoning was conducted over a decade.
    • Patient outcomes and clinical presentations were documented.

    Findings:

    • Admission ethylene glycol levels did not correlate with metabolic abnormalities or complications.
    • Delayed treatment ( >12-24 hours post-ingestion) led to established renal failure and prolonged hospitalization.
    • Early dialysis ( <23 hours) successfully prevented renal failure in one patient.

    • Timely administration of dialysis is key to preventing renal failure in ethylene glycol poisoning.
    • Clinical presentation and prognosis are heavily influenced by the time to treatment.
    • This study highlights the importance of rapid medical intervention for ethylene glycol toxicity.
