Summary

Aortic backward pressure (Pb) and augmented pressure (Pa) show significant heritability and family aggregation, unlike the reflected wave index (RI) or augmentation index (AIx). These findings suggest Pb and Pa are better indicators of inherited aortic wave reflection effects.
