    Summary

    Combined cholecystectomy (gallstone removal) with other surgeries is safe and effective. This approach for concurrent gallstone disease reduces costs without increasing patient complications or mortality.

    • Performing cholecystectomy concurrently with other major surgeries did not significantly increase mortality (1.2%) or complication rates.
    • The extent of the operative intervention did not correlate with increased adverse events.
    • Combined procedures demonstrated significant economic benefits, totaling approximately 51,000 roubles.

    Implications:

    • Cholecystectomy is recommended when gallstones are a concurrent disease, even during extensive operations.
    • Combined surgeries offer a safe, cost-effective strategy for managing multiple surgical conditions.
    • This approach optimizes resource utilization in surgical practice.
