Emotionally biased cognitive processes: the weakest link predicts prospective changes in depressive symptom severity

The "weakest link" model of cognitive biases, where one dominant negative bias predicts depression, is more effective than an additive model. This cognitive marker of depression evolution is independent of perceived stress.
