    Abstract:

    Review of biologic enhancement of muscle and tendon healing reveals substantial clinical study of platelet rich plasma, but an inadequate basis for evidence-based treatment recommendations. In this context, the literature shows that augmentation of rotator cuff repair is not shown to be of benefit, while treatment of knee and ankle tendinopathy and plantar fasciitis shows positive results.
