Observation:

A 25-year-old female presented with weight loss, vomiting, and menstrual irregularities.
Her condition was precipitated by a comment on her weight, highlighting psychological triggers.
Body Mass Index (BMI) was 15.6, indicating significant underweight status.

Findings:

The patient was diagnosed with atypical anorexia nervosa.
A multidisciplinary approach was utilized for treatment and remission facilitation.
The case underscores the importance of recognizing somatic symptoms of eating disorders.

Implications:

General practitioners and medical professionals should be vigilant for eating disorder symptomatology.
Prompt psychiatric evaluation is necessary for patients presenting with somatic complaints suggestive of eating disorders.
