  • Prospective study of 100 consecutive gastrointestinal pathology cases.
  • Three subspecialist pathologists compared digital and glass slide diagnoses.
  • A washout period of at least 6 months was implemented.
  • Discordant diagnoses were classified and analyzed.

  • 95.3% intraobserver concordance (286/300 pairs) between digital and glass slide diagnoses.

Conclusions:

  • High concordance rates support the safety and reliability of digital diagnostic reporting.
  • The findings encourage wider adoption of digital pathology in routine practice.
