Background:

Traumatic bone cysts (TBCs) are uncommon jaw lesions, classified as pseudocysts due to the absence of an epithelial lining.
They are typically asymptomatic and discovered incidentally via radiography, often presenting as unilocular radiolucencies with scalloped borders, predominantly in the posterior mandible.

Observation:

This report describes a rare case of a TBC occurring in the anterior mandible.
The patient was a 16-year-old female with a history of trauma to the chin.

Findings:

The lesion was diagnosed and successfully treated within the surgical unit.
The case highlights the TBC's presentation in an atypical location (anterior mandible).

Implications:

This case contributes to understanding the varied clinical presentations and etiopathogenesis of traumatic bone cysts.
Successful management underscores the importance of accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for these lesions.
