  • Content validity was assessed by 10 occupational therapy experts using CVR and CVI. Face validity was evaluated by 10 first-grade children.
  • Convergent validity was examined using the Stroop test, while test-retest reliability and internal consistency were determined using ICC and Cronbach's alpha, respectively, with 60 children.
  • Main Results:

    • The SeVAT exhibited good content and face validity.
    • Excellent test-retest reliability (ICC=0.778) and internal consistency (Cronbach's Alpha: 0.857 original, 0.831 parallel) were found.
    • Positive correlation between SeVAT and Stroop test confirmed convergent validity.

    Conclusions:

    • The computer-based SeVAT is a reliable and valid instrument for assessing selective visual attention in children.
    • The SeVAT is suitable for use with healthy first-grade school children.
    • Further research is recommended to explore the differential validity in other populations and age groups.
