    Summary

    Brugada syndrome (BrS) is a heart condition with ECG changes and sudden death risk. This study explores BrS in Puerto Rico, a population previously unstudied for this condition.

    Background:

    • Brugada syndrome (BrS) is an inherited cardiac arrhythmia associated with ST-segment elevation in right precordial ECG leads.
    • It carries a significant risk of sudden cardiac death due to life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias in individuals with structurally normal hearts.

    Observation:

    • The incidence and prevalence of Brugada syndrome in Puerto Rico remain uncharacterized.
    • Existing literature on BrS in Puerto Rico is limited to a single case report.

    Findings:

    • This review examines three cases of Brugada syndrome in Puerto Rican patients presenting with syncope.
    • These cases highlight the presence of BrS in this demographic.
