Summary

Background:

Traditional qualitative methods are common for program content validation.
This study employed a mixed-methods approach for validating a post-marriage training program.
Content validity is crucial for integrating programs into healthcare systems.

Purpose of the Study:

To validate the content of a post-marriage training program for newly married couples.
To assess the program's suitability for national healthcare system integration.
To utilize both qualitative and quantitative methods for robust content validation.

Main Methods:

A mixed-method content validation design was implemented in four steps.
Three expert panels (24 panelists total) were utilized for item development, reduction, and psychometric evaluation.
Content Validity Ratio (CVR), Content Validity Index (CVI), and face validity were assessed for 57 educational objectives.

Main Results:

Qualitative expert review refined and developed program content, generating new topics.
Six objectives were removed based on expert consensus and agreement cut-off points.
All items demonstrated validity above 0.8, with Content Validity Indices ranging from 0.8 to 1, indicating appropriate quantitative assessment.

Conclusions:

The study provides strong evidence for the content validity of the national post-marriage program.
Findings support the validation and accreditation of the program for implementation in national health centers.
This validated program is intended for newly married couples, enhancing marital preparedness.
