Commentary on Zachrisson
1Finnish Psychoanalytical Society.
Abstract:
This piece is a discussion of Anders Zachrisson's paper " The Internal/External Issue: What Is an Outer Object? Another Person as Object and as Separate Other in Object Relations Models." In this paper, Zachrisson referenced three questions that I had posed in a previous paper. Here, I clarify and elaborate on the terms internal object, actual person and illusion. Zachrisson's and Winnicott's depictions of the capacity to be alone are compared and contrasted.
