[Informative significance of immunological studies in endocrine diseases in children]
Abstract:
The authors measured the content of circulating immune complexes (CIC) and serum immunoglobulins in children with diabetes mellitus and thyroid pathology. Diabetes mellitus was marked by the increase of the content of CIC and IgA and IgM. The steady rise of the blood content of CIC in patients with diabetes mellitus is a prognostically unfavourable sign of the development of microangiopathies. Children with thyroid diseases manifested dysimmunoglobulinemia and the rise of CIC content in blood. The IgG/IgM ratio can be used as the differential-diagnostic test of thyroid diseases.
