    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the efficacy of ASD against potato cyst nematode (Globodera pallida).
    • To compare ASD performance in two distinct sandy soil types (dune and glacial sand).
    • To investigate the impact of anaerobic bacterial inoculum pre-treatment on ASD effectiveness.

    Main Methods:

    • Two sandy soils were used in 2 L soil microcosms.
    • Treatments included a control, ASD with organic substrate, and ASD with substrate plus anaerobic bacteria.
    • Microcosms were incubated anaerobically at 20°C for two weeks, with pathogen counts and bacterial community analysis.
