This case study reports a rare side effect of Lupron treatment for central precocious puberty (CPP). A young girl developed muscle fibrosis after receiving the gonadotropin releasing hormone analog injection.

  • Early diagnosis and treatment are crucial for maximizing adult height in CPP patients.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To report the first case of muscle fibrosis secondary to gonadotropin releasing hormone analog (GnRHa) treatment in a child with CPP.
  • To highlight potential adverse effects of GnRHa therapy.

Main Methods:

  • Case presentation of a 6.5-year-old girl diagnosed with CPP.
  • Treatment initiated with a gonadotropin releasing hormone analog (Lupron Depot-Ped, 3-month formulation).
