Objective:
The purpose of this article is to describe the principles and various techniques of MR angiography (MRA) that can be applied to pediatric body imaging and the current noncardiac, nonneurologic applications of MRA of children.
Conclusion:
The choice between CT angiography and MRA for body imaging should depend on the clinical query, ROI, and vessel size. MRA is useful for assessment of stenosis of the main renal artery, portal hypertension, tumor vascularity, vascular malformations, generalized vasculopathy in vasculitis and syndromes, and thoracic outlet syndrome.
