Summary
Pretreatment abdominal ultrasound (AUS) is often unnecessary for hyperthyroid cats undergoing radioactive iodine treatment (RIT). While 36.1% had concurrent disease, few cases altered RIT decisions, suggesting AUS is not routinely required.
